Okay so i've been driving my 4runner for a good while having to "bump shift" which means im putting it in 1st gear manually due to the fact that i does not hardly move in Drive but oddly enough it drives perfect after i manually put it in 1st gear, 2nd, then D. I'm just your typical broke high school kid with no money and with what i do have goes to gas. anywho, i'm very skeptical on whether to try and buy a wrecked runner transmission or whether to rely on the computer codes for check engine which tell me the transmission solenoids are bad. ive heard that doesnt always fix the job and I really dont want to dish $200+ on somethin that doesnt work. Any suggestions/help/tips are appreciated...
