Just picked up my 1997 red Runner last week. 185k, but pretty clean. Put some Cooper Discoverer ATPs on her, because the old tires were pretty worn out.
4x Innovations rock sliders will be here on Friday. ARB Tacoma bumper, Warn 8k winch, Fox Shox, ball joints, and some other stuff will be going on over the next couple of weeks.
This will be my desert, mountain, and surf rig. Super stoked on this 4Runner. I haven't had a 4x4 since a 1990 Wrangler 15 years back. I also do some astro-photography, so it'll be nice to be able to get far from San Diego's sky glow.
This is how she sits today (sorry for the cropped picture -- best I have at the moment). Will look a bit different in a week or two, so I'll add some photos as the work gets done. Heading to Ocotillo this weekend to freeze a little; come by and say hi, if you're out that way.
