One of my 4Runners is a 98' 2WD Automatic transmission model. The other day I noticed a small puddle of what appears to be transmission fluid. Its in just about the center of the car. I checked it out in detail today. Its coming out of a seal just before the driveshaft. Check out the pics. The transmission fluid level is still fine and its shifting fine. Can anyone give me any info about replacing this part? Is it something I could try myself or just take it to a mechanic? Does anyone know the specific name of what this part is? Can I keep driving it as long as I keep the trans fluid full? Any help would be appreciated.
