Manual says part time 4 wd but the vehicle is not a 4 wd. It is 2 wd. I don't understand this at all....can someone help me...thanks.
1998 4r ltd, 2wd - does it have pt 4wd?

If you don't have a 4wd 4runner then you don't have 4wd. If you have a 4wd runner you have a transfer case and on the inside there is a stick that allows you to put it in 2wd (what is is normally in), 4WD H (just like 2wd but the front wheels drive as well) and also 4WD L which is just like 4WD H but the gearing is much lower and you go a lot slower (its for offroading mostly).
