1998 4runner PVC Valve Replacement

Hello,

Wonder if any experts out there could help me with locating where the PVC valve is on my 1998 4runner? Do you have a pic?

My 4runner has about 95k miles on it and someone told me I needed to replace this valve. Is this correct? What exactly does this valve do?

You must be talking about the PCV valve which stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve which vents the gasses that get past the rings (during combustion) up into the air intake system instead of out into the air.
