1998 Front bumper on a 2002?

Does anyone know if the front bumper of a 1998 will fit on a 2002 4runner? Was thinking about changing mine because I like the looks of the older one verses the 02 style.

i think the 98 uses a different reinforcement cuz bumper doesn't jut out as far as the 99-up

i thought that was the 99's with the fat lip bumper. But that shouldn't change how it is mounted.

correct me if i am wrong, but the fatlip bumper is from 99-02 and the reason why it was added was because they added a new crumple zone in the front and needed the bumper to extend out further to accommodate it. that why you can swap the fatlip bumper to older models but not the other way around

yeah 99 and up is fat lip and the whole bumper juts out so i'm almost positive its different reinforcement

To me it just sticks out to far..the 98 bumpers IMO look better,dosen't look re****ed like the 02 bumper does.
