Hankook MTs have won a lot of tire shootouts lately. Supposed to handle on the road well too. I got 265s and wished I had gone 285s.......

i like my dura tracs, that said, i'd go with nothing other then the 285 but just get new rims with the proper back spacing, i had to do teh same i wanted to keep my 5-star rims but i had rubbing issues on the upper a-arm, so i got some rims with the right back spacing and have no rub and the 285's look good with my lift (2.5-3 inches)
really though, the 5-star rims are sweet and look nice on the rig but i wouldn't give up running a 285 tire on my rig to keep them you know, i was considering p/c my 5-stars and running the spacer, but decided i didn't want to risk balance and driving issues that MAY result from running spacers, just sold the 5-stars last week for $275 which covered the cost of my new rims and then some.
as for tire choice go to the tire thread and bump that one, the only thing that cause a more heated debate on this forum then oil and tube vs plate bumper is the tire threads, everyone drives in different conditions and uses their truck in different ways so there is no standard and really no "this is the tire to get" just more like "this is the tire to get for you"
that said, i like my duratracs, sever weather rated, 1/2 mt and 1/2 at
fairly quite considering, wearing great so far after about 10k,great traction for what i've done so far, wet roads,deep snow,"dry" desert "slick-rock", and a few muddy construction sites, no proper bogging or anything yet.

265/75/16's with decent tread really look nice on these trucks IMO.
