1999 - 2002 Rear Suspension?

Hello everyone!

Hopefully you do not mind a very general question. My mother is thinking of buying me a used 4Runner from a friend at work. (Actually a car for her and I to share) The person she would buy it from is on vacation for a couple of weeks and I do not want to lose time researching it.

Mom says she has seen in a number of times and that the rear of it looks a bit "low" compared to the front.

I realize I don't have a lot to go on here, not even knowing the year right now... But could someone give me some general info about potential problems in the suspension of these model years (1999 - 2002), particularly in the back? Searching with non-specific dates - well it just turns up too much.

youll see alot about the rear-end "sagging" on these trucks..

You can search for rear-end sag on the forums and that will turn up some results..

All thats needed to fix this is replace the rear suspension components..
(Mostly just the spring, but worth doing the shocks at the same time)
