1999 4R- Need aftermarket floor pan or a cut out for weld in!

Hello. Just found out that I have a very brittle rusted out floor board/pan! This is the only section. Apparently there were some small holes underneath above frame that I did not notice.

Does anyone make an aftermarket section for this?

or

Does anyone have a cut out from a parts vehicle?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you

Oh boy. That's pretty bad. Probably best to cut that out after you get a replacement.

I am unaware of any aftermarket floor pans. However, they maybe out there..

Might have to get a cut out panel from a yard somewhere. Or like you stated if someone has a clean pan in a partg out...

I’d find one at a pick and pull, most don’t allow grinders but many will look the other way. Did that vehicle have water in the footwell or something? These vehicles aren’t very susceptible to rusty floor pans even on the worst northeastern shitboxes

Since you're already in the rust belt wouldn't it make more sense to just get a welder to do a new floor pan which I'm sure they've done 1000 times already in other cars?

Good thought. I rather have the same floor pan as original myself. However it will work.

Looks like the firewall harness grommet was leaking for YEARS, or there was underbody damage that lead to leaking from below. Ouch.

That's my guess. Someone punched a whole through that Grommet and it ate the floor out. As even my rustiest have decent floor pans in them.

Have to have those Amp wires and extra circuits in. :/

I would try to get a very generous cut from a non-rusted donor and then have it properly sectioned in, prepped, painted, etc. But also identify the source of the moisture.

You can still buy an entire oem floor pan. I just don't think want to pay what they want for it...:/

My vote is it's from winter snow boots bringing in snow and salt on them, melting in the car and accumulating in the floorboard and it never dries out. My land cruiser has it on that side but nowhere near that bad. The passenger side is much better since there were fewer people getting in with snowy / salty boots.

How'd you end up fixing yours? I have the same problem. Had no idea this was here. I've never noticed it being wet before and I have floor mats. From what I can tell the rust is just up to where it starts to curve up at the top and then goes back to where the seat mount is.

It looks like you can still buy the factory floor pan. I'm debating on if that's worth it or if I should just get some sheet metal and weld it in or try to find a junkyard one in good condition. Though I don't know if they'd let me bring a grinder in.

I used layers of fiberglass soaked in POR 15. Im sure it will hold for years. What's the part number for OEM floor pan?
