1999 4Runner Rear Tailight Assembly Damaged? Need help plz?

My brother hit something and the rear tail light on my '99 4Runner is damaged. The bulbs are fine, just the assembly is damaged. The lower (red colored) part is fine, but the upper (white color) part is broken.

I know it costs $50, but is replacing it easy or I would have to take it to a mechanic. And if I do take it to a mechanic how much will they charge me to replace it?

Assume its just like my old '90 and newer '03 - drop/open tail gate and remove 2-4 probably 10mm headed bolts and the tail light pops out. You can get aftermarket and JDM replacements. The whole assembly is replaced - not just the outer lense. Its a simple 15 minute job with only a 1/4 drive 10 or maybe 12mm socket and short extension required.
