1999 T4R springs need long shocks/struts?

Hi,
Thinking of getting T4R 1999 springs for my 96. I know this will result in a small lift so will they require installing longer or different shocks and struts or can I buy standard shocks/struts (for the other year models)?
Also, I have read on the forums that after lifting it's good to re-align. Is this also true for a small lift - 1"?

OEM springs, so you should be able to use OEM struts. The alignment is needed because of what you had to take apart to install the new springs, nothing to do with the amount of the lift.

I put the 99 tall coils in mine. Came with the front struts and I left my 96 stock shocks on the rear as they were brand new and I have had no problem.
Raised mine 1-3/4".

Toyota used two different part numbers for shocks in the third-gen. One series is for trucks supplied with 15" wheels and the other is for trucks with 16" wheels. In 1999, Toyota only put the 'tall' springs on trucks equipped with 16"wheels and used the same shocks/struts as other years with 16"wheels. So I would say any year is safe with the tall '99 springs if it came equipped with 16" wheels from the factory. I wonder about trucks with 15" wheels, though, including '99's, as Toyota never built any of those with the tall '99 springs and those shocks are different. Might be a problem....
