199's or 231's

Leaning towards 231mm calipers and Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Anyone seeing any rubbing issues using 265/75/16 Destination A/T's mounted on Split 3 spoke wheels with Spidertrax spacers?

With the 3-split spoke stockers, the only area affected by the larger 231mm calipers are the back of the spokes, and using Spidertrax wheel spacers will guarantee a rub-free fitment.

As far as rubbing on the bumper or the rear end of the front fenders, you may rub abit when wheels are turned since the effective backspacing of the stock wheels + spacers pushes the wheels further out. Not to mention 265 75's are slightly larger in diameter.

But it's easily solved by hacking away some plastic fender liner or maybe even part of the lower bumper. Results vary ofcourse whether you have a lift or not.

anything is better then stock- that was my only complaint with the truck. being as you already have the calipers might as well keep them, just get spacers. There are alot of different opinions on them also but it will save you the trouble of any fitment issues. You keeping the drums on the rear also or are you doing a disc upgrade?

Just exchanged my 231s for 199s. Don't want to deal with spacers. Just want to simplify things and get my boat on the water. Finally getting some good weather this week and will be doing the swap after work.

I'm just doing the fronts. Are you thinking about changing the drums to discs? If you are I will be following your thread closely, I'd love to see your progress with it.
