Hey everyone im from tasmania australia i bought my 2nd surf the other week. its a 1kzte bog stock toyota surf. its a tow rig for my comp truck and daily duties plans are.

15x10 allied thunder
2' lift kit
31 mts
led bars
winch bar
dont want to go all out being a daily

Never seen that conversion post your like. Don't hate on us Aussies cause we have better choice then you americans

The US market never gets diesels so guys here think they are the best thing since sliced bread without even driving one. It's funny, most guys I know in Europe want to swap out their diesels for the petrol engines we get in the US. In the US it's the exact opposite.

Grass is always greener ... trust me, it's not limited to the diesel vs. gas debate.
 
The problem in the US is in general the automakers think we want mall shopping vehicles and massive trucks [emoji20]. At least in Arizona I have seen diesel fuel cheaper that regular gas and the price is not all over the map. I would appreciate a small diesel as an option here.

I should clarify. I love diesel too, but after driving a 1KZ I was not impressed at all. There are better diesels out there, like the 1KD or the VW diesels.

Its true, the 1kz is the second slowest fuel pig I've owned. My last 4runner I did a 1UZ conversion on, (pulled out the 2.4L turbo diesel, by far the slowest P.O.S ever) I actually got much better fuel economy from the 4L V8 due to it not having to work as hard to do the job.

I do have a spare 1KD around which is up for grabs, shipping would probably kill it for our American friends though.

Totally, I'm waiting for the 3.0L V6 turbo diesel to get put in an Amarok and they will have my money for a brand new one. The current hilux diesel isn't worth the money they are asking for it. It's about 20k overpriced.

Yeah I love it I don't know what 1kz you had by my goes well. And I'll be using a top mount 12psi and 3" zorst will go even better

Not free, no.

I already have 3" exhaust, FMIC, removed EGR, etc. Still a slow POS.
