1s gen 89 for $2750

So I found a 1st gen 3.0 V6 on CL and went to check it out. Guy is asking $2750. A few things were wrong with it.. mostly cosmetic. Seals around the windshield and some of the back windows were showing bad wear.. the rear window doesnt roll down, the passenger seat doesn't move. No stereo center console is pretty badly worn with some bolts missing. 200k miles, engine seemed to be in good shape, new fluids new belts etc. That plastic cap on the bumper was missing and the interior was pretty stained. I could tell it was a smoking vehicle too.

From what I heard the 3.0s kinda suck but was wondering what you all thought. Let me know!

I have a 3.0 auto and fits my needs. Is it auto or 5 speed? The 5spd does have better pick up of course.
Does the owner have rcpts? Has the Head gasket been done? I would work him down on price if he has proof of head gasket repair. If he does not then talk him wayyyyyy down.
the list of stuff you mention does not seem too bad.

IMO that's too much for a 1st gen in that condition, I paid $2500 for my 87' with next to no rust, 185k kms, super clean almost looks new condition and 5spd. 22RE FTW. My old truck was an 89 with 3VZE 5spd. had 455k kms was rusty and beat but ran awesome, paid $300. There is a 89 3VZE down the road from me for sale it's $2300, next to no rust, really nice paint and interior head gaskets done, so I'd say the truck is overpriced.

That price is way too much for the condition it is in. Sounds like a 900 dollar vehicle.

You could get a 2nd gen in that condition for that money.
