Just last week, I sold my 2000 Subaru Forester and bought a 1997 Toyota 4runner.
The 4runner is a 5 speed w/ the v6 and I'm really liking it so far. Still needs some work, but it will get there. I will post some pictures later, but the 4runner I purchased has 216000 miles on it and it has definitely been heavily used. The smell of cigarette smoke in the interior is almost unbearable and the interior is falling apart a bit. I'm in the process of replacing all of the fluids in the truck and then moving on the some of the other maintenance that will be needed. I have already found tons of answers searching this forum and I would have already been totally lost without searching around on here.
