Hi all,

I came accross some posts that mentioned that we can get an free 4-wheel alignment within the 1st 12000 miles. I couldn't find it in my booklets. Do you know where that is? I like to have it done before it expires.
Thanks for any info.

Mike,

I don't think i saw it in the manual. However, it is a corporate policy for both Toyota and Lexus. You are allowed ONE free alignment. In fact, my '02 4Runner was out-of-balanced when i got it. Another Toyota dealer did the alignment for free.

If i were you, use the free alignment after you do some off-roading (if you're into that kind of stuff). Otherwise, just wait until you put more miles on your 4Runner.

THanks for the info, Thai. I've been doing 4wheeling since I got my Ford Bronco in 1990. Nothing hardcore but I did try to go where 4low was needed from time to time :-)

I traded in for this 2003 4Runner V8 a couple of weeks ago, 2WD though, as I plan to buy/build another 4x4 just for offroading.

Is this alignment free within the 1st year/12000 miles?

THanks again.

I believe it is within the first 10,000 miles (maybe 12,000). I am not sure. Call any dealership and ask. This is paid for by Toyota, so the dealership should not BS you about it.
