My 1st generation 4Runner is idling weird. When I start it, it idles as it should (high), but after about 3-4 mintues of warming up the idle consistently goes up and down. It'll basically bounce back and forth between (what I imagine to be) 300 and 2000 rpms. Then after a while it'll stop and idle as an average warmed up vehicle should (low). Could it be a sensor??
