Last weekend I hit 3 trails.
1st was a an abondoned mine/quarry. Big play ground now.
2nd was a forest/logging road, that depending where you turn into...
becomes 3rd...full blown trails. The ground in the rock quarry and the logging road were hard and dry, as expected. The trail was muddy. Snow is still in the process of melting and creating streams accross the trail. We drove through that for a little, then stopped for lunch and reassesed the situation. While we were not having much difficulty, all truck equiped with lockers, and also several winches in the crew...BUT in the name of THREAD LIGHTLY and in an effort to help the trails dry up and not kill them for others like ATV riders or horses, and not divert the natural water flow, we doubled back. It was fun while it lasted.
In fact, this is where I started to realize that I didn't need to give much gas peddle input if at all, even through the mud. I just let the truck do its thing, and have the tire float. I'm liking my mini monster truck more and more all the time.
