1st Gen Newb lift questions

Whats up folks. ive got a stock 89 4runner and im looking to lift it 2-3 inches. My own investigation turns up a number of options and Im not really sure how they affect the truck. A small breakdown on blocks, add a leafs, springs,, body vs suspension,, and maybe price would be incredibly helpful.
I just bought some new 15x8 rims and am thinking Im going to put 31x10.5 tires on em. after that Id do the lift. So I guess Im going for appearance foremost, but besides daily driving,I will drive the thing offroad a ton, so that matters a bit too. (adding sway or torsion bars?)

ball joint spacers for the front and add a leafs for the rear, new shocks all around. Most bang for the buck. Lift is achieved and no loss of function.

For less money and just a small loss of function you could use block instead of add aleaf in the rear. Dont go anymore hillbilly than that or you will lose function and capability.

The best option is for a spring lift in the rear. ive seen some nasty trail carnage from blocks flying. It dont happen often tho and you gotta be wheeling hard. ball joint spacers add extra load on the ball joints so youll end up replacing them more often. standard drop bracket lifts very in price so just do some research and talk to you local shops. If you are gonna stay with the ifs and money wasnt a factor id go with the Total chaos fabs long travel caddy system chaosfab.com. hope this helps

If you want 2-3" of lift, will be a daily driver and be driving it offroad a ton, get yourself a complete Old Man Emu suspension system.
It will ride and handle on road better than new plus lift your truck 2-3" and ride good off road. Their stuff is the best you can get for your needs.
