1st gen rear defroster inop???

I installed a new(used) tailgate to replace my rusted out one, it came with a window too. Now since I've installed it and hooked the harness up the rear window defroster doesn't work. It work before with the old window.

Thoughts?

Start checking the wiring in the new tailgate, especially the wiring from the glass to the tailgate.

Thanks. I have the complete harness from the new gate so ill find the schematic for it and see what I find.

Is there a bgb on this site? Or does anyone have the wiring diagrams for the 1st gen?

I'd also looks at the defroster grid, any break in any grid line will make the whole thing inop. I look at my window and just sigh. It would take days to fix mine, so I'm just living without it. (freaking cold winters with fogginess and frost)
