2023 SR5-No functions for rear hatch

Hello, 4runner Nation. I haven't been on the forum in LONG time because all has been well. Until it wasn't.

We bought my wife's 2023 4runner pre-owned back in December '25. All was well until I tried the rear wiper one day and it didn't work. Nor does the washer. Nor the defroster. Nor does the switch to roll the window up/down. I'm stumped. I've checked all fuses and replaced a couple that were suspect. I changed the 10a for the hatch ECU. Still no love. The battery hasn't been disconnected since we got it and the only thing I've done was use a line-tap with the radio fuse to put a USB charger in one of the poverty blanks in the dash.

I've googled, I've searched this forum... I'm out of ideas. What does the collective brain-trust suggest?

roll window down from the switch in cab. roll it up all the way. when it gets to the top, give it another click to make sure its up. try functionality again and report back

That's part of the problem, the switch for the rear window is inoperable as well.

is the window lock button pressed on the driver's side door panel? do any windows work besides driver?

Son of a b****. Unlocked the window lock, rolled it down/up, everything is working as it should. ?.

Now to tackle the non-functioning USB port in the center dash. Thanks, kind internet stranger!

ha . nice. USB port. try a different device and cable. use a good quality cable. confirm it's the port. check the fuses. disassemble and get at the dash port (not hard to do) and replace port. sometimes USB ports can wear out if you use them a lot or the prongs get bent
