1st Gen - Stock Ride Height

Thanks. P225/75R15 on 6" wheels.
I believe the wheels on it now are 8". Tires are 31x10.5x15.

On stock tires from ground to the middle of the fender opening:
front 35"
rear 31.5"
front 35"

yes the 225/75/R15's are stock, but everyone I've ever know have ripped those off for a 235/75/R15. the 225's are pizza cutters, and make the truck very wobbly (think stilts!). you can put those size on with zero modifications (as well as 31x10.50/15's).
the stock "flotation" size is 29x9.50/15 if I recall.
As far as "ride height", most T4R's have the saggy butt issue, which makes measuring dodgy. Unless someone has repaired this problem, or you can find a near new stocker, it's hard to get precise measurements.

Because your front number is 3.5" greater than your rear...and I just hadn't imagined that. After looking at a few other 4Runners and mine, I realize the front fender well is taller/higher than the rear. I'd been assuming they were even.
So comparing my ride height to your figures...
Front: Stock = 35" ; Mine = 36-1/4"
Rear: Stock = 31-1/2" ; Mine = 36-3/4"
Front: Since the 31x10.5x15 tires I have are 2-1/2" taller than the stock 225/75R15s, giving 1-1/4" lift in the tires alone, my front end seems stock. That doesn't jive with...
...so I'm now unsure if I have any lift up front at all. Guess I'll have to crawl under and figure it out.
Rear: Subtracting the 1-1/4" bump from the tires, it has 4" lift in the rear.
I guess my path forward is to figure out what I have up front, and possibly work toward lifting the front a bit. As I intend to pull a small trailer occasionally, I don't think I want to completely level it out, but I would like it more balanced.

bet your torsion bars are just cranked up.

If I compare my new ride height, 37-1/2" to your stock measurement of 35" and adjust for 1-1/4" tire lift, I have about 1-1/4" lift in the front now. Does that ring true?
Not completely level, but I think I have it where I want it:

I'm pretty sure I saw the stock measurements in the Hayne's manual for 1st gen 4runners. I'm at work right now but can check later and post. If you have access to the Haynes check it out for your baseline reference numbers. Instead of measuring at the fenders I measured at the bottom of the rocker panels front and back to get an idea if i was sitting level.
