I really am sorry about that, I thought you knew what you were buying.
What did you guys end up doing, chopping the body mount/cutting the bracket, or moving it inboard?

It was a case of not doing the research before I bought, no ones fault but my own. We did chop the body mount a little. We're gonna weld the bumper as well and gusset more of the mount back to the frame for strength.
It was just a reminder to be a little more careful, and do a little more reading next time. I had wanted one of those bumpers forever and made an assumption. Oh well. 4 hours of extra fab time, nothing ridiculous.
I now have super custom bumper intended for 3rd gen 4x4 pickup! She cleaned up realll nice, looked absolutely brand new after the wire wheel. C:

Just joined the forum but here is my 4runner. 1986 with SAS from an 83'. 4.88 gears with Aussie locker in the back and Spartan up front. Dual cases with 4.7 tcase with twin sticks and 2.28 crawlbox. 4" TG lift in front and 5" in rear (that has alot of sag) Lowrange dual case xmbr. A 1/2 cage added to the factory roll bar. 35" BFG KM2's. Custom front and rear bumpers.

Beautiful Turbo 4runner. I've always digged the gauge cluster that the plush models came with. I haven't seen your third gen but i imagine it must be amazing if you let this sweet honey go to build it!

I picked up one of those digital dash clusters on ebay last month. Gonna try and fit it to my turbodiesel.

Even still, you can see a couple of rough spots on the rear fender, both sides actually, where rust is bubbling up *again!*. =/

Haven't gotten on here in a long time. I got my 4runner fixed up. I still have to work out some bugs here and there but the exterior is mostly done. I say mostly, cause with this hobby, you're never done. Always wanting something else.

Drove all the way from Kansas City, MO to Moab, UT. Didn't stay as long as I wanted to, but there's always next year.
