Both blue, both 1986, both dlx's. and no, we didn't get them just to match. We didn't even know each other when we got them.
And yes, we do think we're cool. We even call ourselves the "BroRunners" and have small windshield stickers.

First post! Glad to see this place exists, I will be bugging you guys with frequent maintenance and part-buying questions :bounce:.

Bought this 88 SR5 as a fishing rig, so far she's done wonderfully. Some minor idling issues have developed recently, but hey... 1988 with 220k miles.

I assume you were asking me? The tires are Hankook Dynapro ATM 31x10.5".

As for the lift... I was going to make a thread asking, but... The front appears to be higher than the rear. Not sure if the previous owner poorly installed the lift or if the 88s body style makes it look uneven. How on earth do I check this? The springs seem to be intact. Also, how do I check the lift size? (I'm trying to learn my way around the truck one mishap at a time...) I believe it is a 2" lift.

....just out of curiosity, I'd be interested to see the unprocessed pics if you have a couple? ....or are the originals shot in HDR? It looks to be in great shape.

those are not HDR pics... the only think i did is lightened the shadows so you could see more detail, and sharpened the picture to provide more detail. the origonals are not that much different other than the harsh shadows basically make it hard to see details

Start a new thread, throw up some pics. Get some side shots on level ground, a couple views of the rear springs, the front CV angle, and a closeup of where the spindle meets the upper a-arm.

I just put a new timing chain in Thursday... running great! Only has 150,xxx original miles on the old 22RE.

Honestly I dont know! It was on when I got the truck... and to me it looks like some factory work, some custom work... its definitely somewhat pieced together.... a Frankenstein bumper... haha! It is cool though. If you need any measurements or anything let me know...
