I have positively never heard of a Ford 302 swap into a Toyota 4runner.
Back in the day, did that motor scoot it pretty well?

I still don't recall ever reading about a ford 5.0 Swap haha. Chevy's for days, no fords

its been done a bit, but yes, for some reason the GM swap is more common. mine has been in for almost 15 years. I certainly wasn't the first, but there wasn't very many ford, or v8 swaps for that matter at the time. info was scarce.
yup I do.
mine isn't as clean as the swap above, and its also still carb'd. but it does a damn fine job, probably my favorite mod to date.

Threatening is an appropriate word. LOL I'm gonna keep it up to... 5.0 makes a great swap. fits way better than a cheby since it is narrower and has the distributor in the front so no firewall mods necessary. A little more costly than a GM but well worth it in my opinion. :becky:
When it was my truck as a teen I remember it running pretty damn awesome. I'm excited to get it back on the road. Couple more days and I'll be off these fires and picking it up hopefully. I started a build thread on here, obviously haven been able to update it at all since I haven't even picked it up yet but I'll add photos and whatnot when I do!

Figured this would be a pic to be proud of, My '89 getting ready to 435,000 miles! Ive only had it for a few months but its a DD and gets used hard on the weekends. 22RE/Manual trans. Has never let me down except for one electrical fire that got fixed on the spot with my fully stocked tool box in the back.

Couple pics of my '84 I've had for nearly a year now. Spent a bit of time tidying it up when I bought it (to pass rego and be a little more presentable.. was getting pretty tired), but haven't had to do anything since. Has been an absolute trooper.
Slow as a wet week, but does everything I need of it.. and has turned out to be ridiculously practical! Love it..

I need more pics of the white 4Runner in the background, specifically the stripes. I think that's the first time I've seen one with decals like my old '86.
