here's my new chick
already giving me fits but i'm into her. 86 with 183000 on her and no rust anywhere. interior is a bit of a mess but it should be fun to tinker on her in the future. this is right after a hose busted on the highway and right before my sunroof flew off of the tow truck and onto highway 80.

I really like that color and aftermarket stripe combo with the original alloys.
Given that the door handles are chrome I assume the front bumper and grille are chrome?

the front bumper and grill are chrome. no back bumper so i guess i'll be searching craigslist for a new/old one. can't wait to get some meaty tires on this bad boy. :frog:

Here is my 88. It has the 3.Slow(Sucks!!!) I love this thing though. Front is lifted about 4 inches, and rear is about 3. Just put on Trailgear Rockdefense stinger bumper on the front.(Not in Picture).

Nothing crazy (yet) like alot of you guys have. But it's a start! Bought this 89 about 3 weeks ago, has the 3.0 (unfortunately) but she runs good and for 900.00 I thought why not. It was in pretty rough shape interior wise and has some rust in the rear, I cut it out and we did some body work (not done yet) and we're going to sheet metal the doors/panels this week. I hated all the red interior, so I plastidip'd the dash, steering wheel and pillars black. As well as cleaned the floor and painted that black as well. We're still debating on whether we should rhino line the floor or not. After I get all of this stuff out of the way the lift/tires/bumpers will come. What do you guys recommend for a nice lift for these? This will be strictly off road. Love looking through these galleries. Here's some progress pics.

mine the day i picked her up 3 years ago ....sat for 4 years
had to battle all of the typical rust issues front to back
replaced both front and rear diffs w/ 5.29s cross over steering set up
found some good deals on front and rear bumpers
current pic after interlux brightside paint job
waiting for it to cool off some before i start on the topper
