here's my 85 runner

New here so thought i would add mine. Nothing special as to mods,, just love the toys
My first was an '87 that i added the Hankook 31.5x10.5
This truck,, at 320000km took me across Canada twice and made 12 trips from Calgary/Edmonton through the Rockies To Hope BC on some Steelheading trips. I worked the oil feilds in the winters,, wicked rig rocket!!!

Just recently picked up the '88 and she is sweet for East Coast truck and i have some plans for her

I've replaced the rear bumper with a much straighter one and I haven't been able to find a splash guard yet. I never even looked at the power antenna, so it may be bent, but it does work. I do have the rear seat headrests. The red is a repaint from sometime in the mid 90's. It's not the best, it looks better in photos than in person. The clearcoat is peeling and is mostly gone from the roof and hood. Hurricane Ike took alot of the remaining clear right off. I'll probably repaint the truck in the next couple of years.

The truck is stock and I plan on leaving it that way. I use it as my daily driver and for camping and hauling stuff that won't fit in the wife's car. I have only taken it offroading once, and that was really just very light duty stuff. I may pull the running boards off as I think it would look cleaner w/o them.

I've never been much of a truck guy, but I just love my 4Runner. It's not to big, not too small, it's more comfortable than I expected and I really enjoy driving it with the top off when the weather is nice.

Welcome to t4r.org. Nice rig. Care to share more info? Like what kind of lift is on there? I notice a custom skid plate... budbuilt? Also, those tires... bfg muds? or kumho muds?

Ok there....Finally but I don't have a pick with the soft/bikini top on it but if you want to see whhat it looks like to killertoyz.com you'll see them there...the guy hand makes them out of Canada

No lift plate everything is pretty much custom the wheels are Cragar and the Tires are General got a great deal on them and as a matter of fact they are highly rated, custom paint job the inside is all Rhino lined(no carpets) 5spd

Man i love these 1st gen 4runner's, there just soo bad a$$ !!....i still remember the runner my mom had back when i was growing up and man do i wish i could find that thing now. you guys have some nice rides !
