What kind of work are you planning on doing to it?

Not completely sure yet, however I can never leave my rigs alone. We got it mainly to use as an expedition/camping rig. I also plan on driving it to work, as it's only 5 miles at most away. I was thinking arb or similar front bumper, winch, marlin crawler rear bumper, 31's/new wheels, add-a-leaf, maybe a mild lift, etc. Definitely open to suggestions.

This is my new beast and first ever 4x4. after looking at Nissan Patrols and Toyota Landcruisers out of my price range I found this beast for $450 AUD. Which is what us Aussies call a bloody bargain mate!

pretty simple just tidy up the rust and paint, maybe a snorkel and some other bits and pieces.
it no longer has those wheels in the photo just some crappy 31's so i'll find similar 33's to replace with. I also need to order a marlin crawler shifter bush as 1st and 3rd are non existant gears and I popped the shifter out last night and the bushing is also non existant :wow:
it drives great for what it is. I live in Brisbane, Australia. We have a place about 3 hours north west of here called Landcruiser Mountain Park, which is the most 4x4ing fun you can have with your pants on. Endless trails and creek crossings, mud pits, hill climbs you name it they got it! so thats where the newly named "Bushpig" will spend most of her time!

Nice first gens guys! In my opinion, these are some of the most stout, reliable rigs ever produced.
Heres my 89 DLX, 22RE Auto, Soon to be swapped with a mercedes OM617 turbodiesel and a w56 5 speed.
Small lift, 32x105.50R15 Procomp MTs on Procomp steel wheels, 4xInnovations rock sliders and tube doors, carr lightbar, Hella 500 Lights, GoLight wireless searchlight, softopper soft top, cobra 29 CB, ARB bumper, smittybilt XRC8 winch, and some other goodies, and i still have more planned for it!

I love it! It comes with 2 wireless remotes, and it rotates and tilts. Its very bright, with visibility for miles. Ive used it for so many different purposes that i couldnt count. Its definitely worth the investment.

Golight® Stryker™ :: Remote Controlled Searchlights
Scroll down, the stryker model #3049 (black with the two remotes) is the one i have. Go to their contact page, and they will give you any info you need to find a dealer near you. If you go for it you definitely wont regret it!:thumb3:
