1st gen Tacoma rear bumper on a 00 4runner

Does anyone know if it is possible to put a 1st gen Tacoma's rear bumper on a 2000 4runner? How difficult would it be to make this work?

Probably pretty hard. Tacoma's don't have boxed in frames like ours, and have leaf springs, so bumper attachment points are probably on the side instead of underneath.

Depends on the bumper too. Pics of the bumper and its mounts might be helpful.

If you're up for fabbing your own shat, go for it.

The taco bumper mounts to the inside of the frame. The 4Runner bumper mounts to the underside if the body.

I guess you could drill holes, but you also have to worry about what ^^ said about the frame being boxed.

I don't think it would be that hard , depending on tour skill level and if you have access to a welder . Easier than building one from scratch.

Why's it a bummer?
So far there's been nothing but a bunch of wild guesses, nothing concrete.
Why don't you get a measuring tape and check the frame width of both vehicles.
That will give you a big piece of the answer.
