Hey guys great forum!!! I have been reading for about a year now, even before i got the 4runner...........heres my question, i would love to get a more aggressive looking tire, can i without getting a lift??? My reasoning is i live in a condo and we have an underground garage, i barely fit as is so i dont think with a lift i would be able to............is there anything out there like in this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32116???

I think most people on here with no lift get the 265/70/17 on their rigs with 17" rims. Got them on mine and they are a little taller than stock. No rubbing issues with my Kumho's, but different manufactures have different specs on same tire sizes.

I like them alot. Pretty cheap also, think I paid $520 mounted and balanced. They are more quiet then the micheliens that were stock. About 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch taller than the michs. Just thought I would try them because I had kumhos for the civic and were impressed by them. Not the most aggressive tire, but does the job for me.

Thanks for the reply!!! Is there anything in the size 265/70/17 that looks more of an offroading tire??? or would i have to go up in size?? and if i did go up could i do it without a lift??

You can get BFG AT KOs in 265/70/17 and they'll fit without lifting. They'll also fit in the spare tire location:

They are.. You just have the white letters facing in. I have them on my truck, over 1000 miles on them so far and the only complaint is that I could not break/slide them loose in the snow when I wanted to spin. I locked the diff in 8-10 inches of fresh powder and set off 4 snow roostertails at the same time. Awesome tires!

No, it's one size up. Stock are 265/60R18.
