1st Vacation in 4Runner

Finally, my first paid vacation EVER! Me and two friends are heading to the Rainy River (near Lake of the Woods) to fish the short legal Lake Sturgeon season. I am towing my friend's boat up there, first time the truck has towed anything (hitch reciever and wires were new in the box when I purchased the truck with 30k miles on it). My buddy wanted to drive his regular cab Chevy 2wd v6 but we decided the 4runner would be more comfortable. The goal is to catch a six-footer, and per forum rules, I will post a pic when I get back of me holding the 100-lb monster sturgeon in front of the truck that must be included in the picture.
Pretty pointless post, but I'm sitting here at work chomping at the bit to get up north and wrestle with a huge sturg and I'm restless as this is the first time I have the right to a week vacation that is paid! Hallelujah!:bouncy:

I dunno, haven't towed anything yet, but the boat fully rigged and and packed with some of our stuff at most weighs 2,500 lbs. with the trailer so I'm not worried in the least. I plan on installing a better hitch and trans cooler but for this weight of boat (probably 200 lb or less tounge weight), and the mild April weather, I'm sure everything will be fine.

If the trailer has electric brakes you should get a brake controller (Prodigy is very good).

I hauled a UHaul 6x12 2 axle trailer full of furniture and junk for my apartment on a 285 mile trip...no sag, she sat level. I was surprised at the power (i have a v8). Breaking is tricky though u can definately feel the difference! mileage was about 13. no problems.
