I'm use to being the Old Codger of the group anytime Sean and I have a party at my place. I need you guys to come to our next party so I don't feel so old. What I've learned for the most part is you're only as old as you let yourself be. If you take care of yourself and stay active, you can be doing very physical activities to your later years. I go mountain biking with a guy in his late 60's and he's a total hammer. He's hard to keep up with on the climbs and the descents.
When I first started making videos with Sean, some people remarked how they hoped they were still wrenching when they reached my age. Wrenching can be hard on you, especially since I don't have a lift and sometimes spend all day on my back in my garage. But, there's times where I'm working a hell of a lot harder, like when I go to a structure fire and have to work fast with all the heavy and hot gear I have on. It's definitely doesn't get easier as I age but I'm hoping to put 6 more years in and retire when I hit 59.
Take care of yourselves and stay in shape fellers.
