i had slee off road install a 2" oem lift. it seems very stiff and rough for everday driving. i understand its for offroad, but does the onroad need to be this rough? it rides like a truck.i miss my xrays suspension of the factory put on. any ideas about options? will new bigger tires help, now that i have the room for them? i only offroad about 10% and wanted more clearance, not sure i made the right choice. appreciate any feedback

I assume you mean OME vs OEM and yes -- the ride is firm. I had OME lifts on my Tacoma and on my 4th Generation and the ride quality was firmer when I first installed them. However, after some breaking in time the ride softens a little. Personally, I felt like the suspension was too soft before going to OME, so I preferred the stiffer ride and handling. Also, it is still a body on frame "truck" -- so its going to be a little more truck-like than say a Highlander. Give it a few thousand miles and it should break in a bit.

Instead of waiting a few thousand miles for them to wear in and settle, just take it off road asap. Works Wonders!

New tires will not make the ride any softer
