Thanks.
Yeah I did the search here and it seems that everyone still went back and forth between oil filter numbers. When I contacted partznet they said that was the right part number but when searching here it's another part number. That's why I posted my original question to figure out exactly which was right.fo'runner said:Now to answer your question.......Please do a search within this forum for your answer. After you find the parts number, then you can specify to partznet exactly what you want.
I clearly remember this being discussed on here last year........along with the oil drainage valves. If I recalled (don't quote me) the two different part numbers are because one filter is larger than the other. Something to do with a high flow/filtering technique etc......! I hope the above helps you!

For a V8, the only one I've run into so far is 90915-YZZD3, which is made in Thailand.
toto said:I will admit that there's an incredibly tiny difference between the 4, 6, and 8 cyl. Toyota filters. My dealer has all three lined up on a shelf next to each other. They all use the same filter wrench, and the difference in length is maybe 1/4 inch from one to the next. Sounds like all three probably have the same threads as well, so they're interchangeable as long as you've got room to get a slightly bigger one in and out of the engine compartment.
