2-wheel Drive t4r upgrades

I know, I know...should have held out for a 4 wheel drive, but alas, I didn't have much time to look for one after my Avalon was totaled out.

So my question is this, what are some popular upgrades for me to do to this 02 Limited? Just figure I'd make it a *cough* cruising vehicle *cough*.

Planning on doing the following so far:
*LED conversion
*Deck plate mod
*Supercharger and other performance upgrades(eventually)

Any good links or photos to some decked out 2 wheel drive Limited's?

Uh, not a Limited, but if you check out my cardomain or my timeline, you might find something you like.

Most mods available for a 4WD are there for a 2WD...

xskydivingdude has a jacked '02 sport. He's got his build thread in his sig - just find a post by him.

Not sure if "decked out" means lifted or if you're looking for things like lighting or interior mods, but the 02 2wd is the low rider 4Runner. Lift it at all and remove the running boards, and it will look 10x better.

Haha thnx for the rep Jacob! but ya i have a 02 sport which is practically the same on the exterior minus the hood scoop. There are so many mods that can be done to ur rig and i wouldnt worry too much bout wat the guys say bout it being only 2wd bc i have put mine through some stuff ppl said a 2wd cant and most importantly i love it!

Im behind xskydivingdudex. I alos have a 2wd 4runner 98 limited with lift and you can do anything you want man, lifted looks great and I have gone places I didnt think 2wd will make it but it sure did. So have fun with all the mods you are about to im bark on. Mine will probably be converted to 4wd one day but for now it will have to wait to college is over.

I picked up a set of the cheapo HID headlights. They make a big difference at night. It's such a drastic difference from my other vehicle. I can see :wow:

maybe a cheap coil spacer lift. and go up a size in tires.

Thanks for the replies. when I said decked out, I didn't mean lift. I actually never even thought of lifting a 2 wheel drive. But after seeing AddictedtoOffroads, man...wouldn't think a 2 wheel drive would do that! I'll definitely check out Skydives threads.

I'm concerned that taking off the running boards would look weird on mine, since it's two toned.....

Trust me you will like the running boards off looks alittle taller. My truck is a two toned also. My truck originally has silver flares now rhino lined flares. If you rhino lined the gold flares it would be sweet all black man:AK47:.

Well Scotty's rig (AddictedOffroad) started life as a 2wd 4runner but he did a 4wd conversion while he did the SAS...

So how expensive is it to do a 4-wheel drive swap on these? The last time I looked into it was like 10 years ago on another vehicle and I remember it being too damn expensive to justify.

Depending on where u get the parts and if u do it urself or get it professionally done... i think its about $3k+

What set did you go with?

I need to pickup a set of HIDs ASAP! My last ride had them and the 4runner doesnt, I feel like I cant see at night anymore!

Pick up a set from DDM Tuning... i have a set from them and jsut ordered a set for my dad's '09 tacoma. They are very nice looking and there are a bunch of guys on here that have them. The great thing about them is u can pick up a set for $40 plus shipping for a hi/lo kit.

If u dont want to go with DDM u can go with VVME which a few guys on here have also. Not sure on the price tho.
