Been reading these posts in most of the categories for the last few month's but this is the 1st time to submit. Last fall bought a 2008 4Runner 2wd V6 with about 17,000mi. This past spring brought it to the dealer for a routine oil change/tire rotation. The service rep attendant wrote up my request and told me I was due for my 20,000mi Fuel Injector Cleaning AND Throttle Body Adjustment for the 1 time special low price of $89.99 for each service.......I opted not(wasn't looking to pay $180.00 in addition to oil change). I can't find anywhere in the recommended service intervals that this is needed. Seems like 30,000 is when more involved maintenance takes place. Did I overlook something in the manual? Supposedly, before it was put on the used lot, it went through a rigorous 161 point inspection to bring it up to Certified Standards, seems the adjustments, etc would have been done at that time. Anyway, I will soon be bringing it in for oil and I expect them to offer those same services to me, in addition to who knows what. What are some of your thoughts, I don't want neglect to affect warranty?
Thanks for any input, Bert
