I got my front windows done at 20 percent to match the rear's! Its not legal by any means, the state limit is 50 percent front in Virginia, but i usually drive with the windows down. It cost me 85, not bad for a great tinting job and something i know won't fade or bubble. It keeps my inside so much cooler, its unbelievable!

Photos aren't showing up for me

I would like to get mine done at lest up to the 50%. Who did the job and did they use a film?

I didn't want to get 50 because to me, it just really doesn't look like any tint. I got mine done by Atlantic Shoreline in Virginia Beach, VA, they do excellent work, and yes, its a film that they use. Also, the reason i went so dark was because my dash had started cracking due to the heat, its a common problem with the 4th gens, and i wanted to stop it.

Just copy the IMG code from Photobucket and paste into the text box. It contains all the vBulletin code to display the pic(s).

I know it's overcast and you have a sun block on the front windshield, but that looks darker than 20%.

Either way it looks good.

I appreciate Uneek putting the pictures up! And it does look darker because it was really cloudy, it matches the backs perfectly when the sun is up, and i had to sign some forms that stated i knew it was illegal, all the other places wanted me to pay cash so they had no proof that they had done it.

You're welcome.

Same thing here in CA when I got the front windows on another car. The shop I went to required a waiver to be signed and I paid cash.

so the po-po won't pull you over for too dark tint? id rather not risk it.

hey man im in chesapeake see your in va beach? i got some tint done to mine too. just be carefull down at the beach ive gotten ticketed 3 times in a year in a half even with front windows down. but did they charge 85 for all windows or just the two front?

you can learn to tint yourself :D also tint will eventually fade no matter what you do. UV rays and cleaning solutions will cause it to fade purple. But can take many years

Yes sir! I live in virginia beach, and thats terrible! I'll beware, but say, you wouldn't happen to know of any good mudding spots around us would you? hah, the only thing there is here is sand. And they charged 85 for just the front two, its way more expensive just cause its illegal tint. And for tinting yourself, i woudln't ever try it, i just believe its something i'll leave to the pro's.

I wonder how well 25% on the fronts would match the factory tint on the back windows. Anyone? I'm planning on having the fronts tinted on Thursday or Friday...

it'll match pretty darn close, maybe not quite as dark... 25% is pretty dark...

i know of a couple in suffolk there is also suppose to be on in great bridge area of chesapeake. i havent done in mudding in about 2 year since i got rid of my 99 runner this one is stock so havent went in this yet and dang i know a shop does 120 for any darkness and lifetime warrenty.

I went with ceramic 25% on the fronts, and it was a bit over $100 but it seems to block out the heat better.

I'll start looking! I'm getting a toytec ulimate lift probably sometime around november, then i'll hit those places up. And 120? Is that for the whole thing?!
