Alright bout to prob get a good deal on some 20's. I've been looking at pictures on here but no body seems to be filling out the finderwell like I want with this size wheel. 275/55/20 aint getting it. I already have a 3inch lift and 285's. What size MEATS would I be looking at. That's gona make my wheelwell look stuffed. If you have pictures please feel free.

What do you mean "fill out the fenderwells?" When people talk about filling out the wheel wells, its usuallly street cars and trucks. I don't really know how well you're going to fill out those wheel wells with a 3 inch lift and still maintain offroad capability.

Here's a pic of my truck with 275/55/20 on 20". Mine only has the 5100s set at 1.75 and 1" spacer in the rear. On your 3/2, I would go 33x12.50x20. 13" wide swamper would look good too, but might be a little wide.

You could also go with a 275/60/20 which is a 33" or if you can squeeze a 305/55/20 is a little over 33"

Autbond's 4runner had the 3/2 and 33x12.50s on 20s, although he ended up switching to the Overland Warehouse kit. It looked great, but I believe he had to do a decent bit of trimming and it still scrubbed.

edit - He also had to have the body mount chopped.

^ wow that sucks. I was hoping a. 3/2 would fit a 33. I planned on going higher and maybe running a taller all terrain once mine wore out.

Guess ill probably end up running 285/55 or 305/50

Sizes I've been eyeing:

33 x 12.5
305 x 55
275 x 65

It's looking like it'll be the last one which is a 34" tire, but the same width as my current setup. I think you get into trouble with the 33x12.5 because of the width not the height.

Yeah I'd love to throw on some 33 12.50's but I don't know if thats gona bring me any troubles. I' m also putting on a 1" RB body lift in the next week to help me clear something a little bigger. What do yall think aout 275 65 20 toyo Mt's. Should b okay?

Yeah I think so. Like I said, same size I'm eyeing in the GY Duratracs. Can't beat the price in that size for some odd reason. The 33's cost more. Probably because it's a more popular size. I think they're wider too.

By the time I'm ready for new rubber, you and I will have the same amount of lift. Still waiting on another half inch or so that I'l be gaining with the new front suspension. Already have my 1" BL. One thing to look at with a 34 though is possibly a bump stop spacer or taller bump stop. Especially in the rear.

Alright kewl deal. I might have to check out some duratrac prices then. And a bump stop spacer, that's new to me. That recommended or just about a must have?

Yeah, I was really on some Nitto Trail Grapplers for the a while until this forum turned me on to the Duratracs. They're just as nice aesthetically and cheaper in some sizes than the TG's. Hell actually Duratracs cost the same or in some cases are even cheaper than BFG KO's, which is a fantastic A/T tire by the way.

As far as the bump stop goes, the purpose, as I understand it, is to catch your tire from going into your wheel well and subsequently your cabin at full crush (when your suspension is articulated and fully compressed on one side). So while the factory stop may be sufficient to catch like say a 33" tire (depending on width), a 35" tire would most likely do some damage at full crush. Now with 34's that might a sweet spot, but I'd err on the side of caution here. Easy way to figure it out is just cycle your suspension fully with a jack after the install. That should tell you all you need to know. If you don't ever plan on articulating to full flex (which you probably wouldn't know until it's too late) then the point may be moot. But if you plan on off-roading, it's seriously something to consider.

Hope that helps.
