so I bought a used 2000 SR5 2wd with a 3" Fabtech lift. The steering in a tiny bit shaky and pulls to the right. I just put new BF Goodrich LT285/75/16 's on it and it looks great. I will get an alignment soon but want to change the shocks. I was wondering what type to get and any advice on instal. I usually do stuff myself if I can. also what could be causing the shimmy shake in the steering?

Your truck won't have a stabilizer it could be several things your steering rack probably has a little slack In it it's pretty common on these

Things to check/fix for steering:

1) Alignment
2) Make sure tires are balanced (since they are new skip this)
3) Check for play in steering rack bushings (very common)
4) Grab tire at 6 and 12 oclock see if it moves = ball joints
5) Grab tire at 3 and 9 oclock see if it moves = tie rods
