I just did a clutch job about 2 thousand miles ago and I don't think that's the issue but it's above my pay grade so I thought I would ask here.
So when up or down shifting (although mainly up shifting) I get a squeal from what sounds like the engine bay and its only for a little bit as the clutch is engaging. It doesn't always happen either, like maybe 5/10 stop to first gears. But it is annoying as hell.
When we did the clutch we changed out everything but the slave cylinder (could that be it? doesn't seem like something that would make that noise but again this is why I am asking). I just watch a ton of videos on youtube of people having throw out bearing problems and it's definitely not that.
Also thinking it could be the belts, they don't seem very loose and were all replaced last March but the noise reminds me belts slipping. Like they could be squealing until the clutch is fully engaged and provides enough load on the engine to keep them going at full speed?
Here's a video clip of me driving, I drove especially 'bad' to get the noise to be louder for the clip: http://youtu.be/wGQCD3SASGg
