2000 4Runner SR5 HVAC controls

I am purchasing a 2000 4runner SR5 Sport this weekend and I am interested in changing the manual HVAC controls that are in the truck to the automatic climate controls that are offered in the limited edition. Has anyone else done this? Are the wiring harness connectors the same on both units? I have seen the unit for sale on e-bay so it seems like an easy swap but I want to make sure before buying the controls.

I have one that had to be replaced in my '02 Limited because the buttons were really hard to push and it would work intermittently. I'll sell it to you if you want it, it wouldn't be for much, and if it fit and worked, you could keep it until you buy a newer one?

The swap is a huge undertaking and you need to consider if it's worth it. You need all the motors that control the vents and such since it's just not the center console you have to replace.

The Limiteds consoles are sweet but it's a PITA swap and is rearely done and I can't tell you if I've ever seen one even over on yotatech.
