Damn man, that's a nice lookin blacked out runner. I have the same year runner and was thinking about painting it black whenever I saved up enough for a paint job. I am jealous. The black limited rims bring it all together. What size tires are you runnin by the way???

great looking truck man... I love black... been thinkin of painting my wheels.. until I get new rims.. but think I will hold off...that way I can put the stocks on when/if I ever sell it..

atl got a lol snow tonight so i figured i'd get out the camera .
thanks for the comments. i love this 4runner and i show by babying it. this is a 2000 4runner 4x4 5speed. i am a college student so the mods are slow to come.

I'm in Atlanta too, but I didn't get to take mine out in the "snow" lol:(

What college do you go to?
 
i go to Georgia perimeter college. at Dunwoody . but i live in buckhead.
the paint was about 6.99 a can at pep boys. dupli- color wheel paint.
i used primer, flat black, and clear coat.
after i spent a few hours sanding the wheels down. 1 coat of primer. 3 coats of black the more the better, and 1 coat of sealer/ clear coat.
16'' factory wheels are on it with goodyear eagle gt II 235 60r 16. sorry this is a correction. they are 285 60r 16

Those tires sound super small for your truck. I have the same wheels and I have 265 70R16s on mine. :confused:
 
Very nice truck and a good start since most of the cosmetic stuff is done.

When the funds are better then go with a bit of a lift and at least 265/75 tires on those wheels and if you have no use for the running boards those could go too. :)
 
is there a large difference between the two tires. 285/60/16 and the 265/75/16 the 265 is a little thinner? and height to weight ratio is greater for the 75 rather than the 60. knoticable? sorry for the maybe stupid ?'s. and for the running boards y remove them? for looks or trail use. p.s. i live in the Atl and would love to go mudding all the time but i don't have the funds for cleaning and all the upgrades i would HAVE to get if i were to go mud in it ... thanks guys

285 60R16? That's different. Your last post said 235 60R16 lol
 
My tires are 265/75s and they aren't as wide of course but they definelty are taller and don't rub at all.

Mine never had running boards but they are easy to remove since I think they are just held on by 8 bolts a side.
