I am looking at a 2000 4runner 4wd sr5
how is this year also any info on gas mpg

any info would be great

With and 265/70 road tires I got 19-21 hwy and 17-18 city.
With 265/75 mud tires I get 17-19 hwy and 14-16 city.

2000 is a good year, they made big changes in 99 and the 2000 will reflect that. In 2001 they came with more things like VSC (vehicle skid control) and traction control. It will still have the chrome bumpers, but that is kind of cool. Also, in 2000, they made some with manual transmissions.

Consumer Reports says expect around 16 MPG. I get 19 overall with my 2WD.
