I am drawing up a small project of converting my sidemarker to flasher. Now in the process of doing this i was wondering if anyone has any idea as to how the DRL module on a 2000 4runner works. I was thinking of hooking up the DRL module to a 7443 LED amber light in my corner lamps, so that during day time i have DRL (Bright) and also flasher fonctions, and at night i have the park light (Dim) aswell. I tried to check for 3rd Party DRL modules, and so far none offer flasher and DRL in one.
They either turn on the DRL part, and turn off the DRL when the flasher are used. No 3rd party DRL module completly shut off the DRL's, they simply dim them to 50% brightness.
My last option would be to try and build myself my own DRL module, but then my knoweldge really simply stops...
