My halogen turn signal bulb went out, so I swapped it with an LED one.
This is the exact one that I bought: Amazon.com: AUXITO 1156 LED Bulbs Amber Yellow 400% Super Bright 7506 BA15S P21W LED Bulb with Projector for Front Rear LED Turn Signal Bulb DRL Marker Blinker Parking Lights, Pack of 2 : Automotive
The bulb works but it is hyper flashing. I looked into the options. One is to replace the flasher relay but sounds like I would lose DRL function if I go that route. Adding load resistor seemed to be cheap and easy solution, so I tried that. Bought 50W 6 ohm resistors (Amazon.com: AUXLIGHT 4Pcs Quality 50W 6ohm Load Resistors - Fix LED Bulb Hyper Flash/Error Code, Turn Signal Fast Blinker (Resistors get very hot during working) : Automotive), and hooked them up in parallel with turn signal bulb, but that did not solve the problem.
I checked connections by measuring resistance through bulb socket, and I am reading ~7-8 ohms. And when I turn on the blinker, it gets warm. But it is still hyper flashing.
What am I doing wrong here?
