2000 fog lights

I saw an ad for a 2000 limited 4runner it had everything except fog lights. Does that sound a little weird? Or would that be a different package?

yea... a little bit fishy I can't say for sure but I'm fairly confident all 2000 Limiteds had fog lights... mine does at least.

They may have been removed by the previous owner.

from what I understood the 4runner did not have the fog lamp option

'99+ with the fatlip bumper either has the fogs or doesn't but does have the holes and is prewired for fogs. Earlier 4Runners had the option of Hella 500s as a dealer add-on but they weren't as common.
All Limiteds and Highlander models had 'em and were an option on the SR5s.

I was very pleased to see everything prewired including a switch for Fogs on my 2002 SR5. Now all I have to get is the actual lights. eBay has something descent looking for around $195 or so.

Would it make any sense to pay that much to put them on my Southern California fog-less... car?

Performance Products has the factory set for 99 now. I bought them a few months ago and they are nice

I've sold many of the kit below and it comes with it's own custom brackets made to fit 99-02 front bumpers. The coolest thing is, you don't need to run ANY wires through the firewall, and the kit comes with two wireless remotes.

Just wanted to thank you for that post.

I got a set of the fog light you mentioned from Performance Products and I really like them. Installation wasn't painfull at all as the car is mostly prewired for them, just need to hook into a couple of cables underneath the steering column.

And for $99 to boot.

No Problem--They make a would of difference on my truck. I run mine all the time even though its wired to work with high, low or just parks lights. Glad i could help
