2000 Grille Upgrade

I'd like to replace the grille on my 2000 Limited with one from an 01 or 02. It sounds like there should be no quirks in this process, am I correct? I like the "chrome" but it might be nice to change it up with the color match grille. Anybody know if Toyota sells the grilles painted or unpainted? I'm sure they're pricey as hell but finding one at a junkyard is probably a lost cause, considering this part was only used for two years and most of the cars there will have front end damage...

The "T" on the later grilles is also bigger so you'd need to replace that too. I think you can get the grille on-line for about $100 unpainted.

im doing the same thing but going for a 99-00 version, every once in a while ill see some on ebay, the last one i saw went for $60.

yea i think youll have to paint it, but selling your current grille will help make up some of the cost.

its also a direct swap piece.

Here is my old '99 4Runner w/ a newer style grille. It looked great! And yes, the emblem had to be changed too.
