2000 Running boards or nerf step bars

Hi, Just bought an 00 4r sr5 that has no running boards. I'm looking for advice and possibly photos to help in my decission. I have found that I can get running boards with color matched end caps for $431 plus shipping but wonder if I can get a better deal or better look elsewhere. Also, I'm considering Nerf style step bars but I'd like to see what they look like before pulling the trigger.

My 99 didn't come with running boards either. But I think I like the look of nerf bars instead of the running boards. There is a black 97 4runner here at my apartment complex with black nerf bars that looks cool.

I'm still undecided if I want chrome or black bars to go on my dark green 4runner.

I'd say check on ebay or yotatech's classifieds to get some cheaper running boards or bars.
