I'm considering possibly selling my beloved 2000 Sport 4x4 Manual. Vehicle has 191K miles and immaculate maintenance record. Almost too many extras to list here but I'll try. I would really appreciate any input on estimating sale price. Vehicle is located in Santa Cruz, CA where Tacomas and T4R's seem to carry well above average resale value (Toyota tax). I'm really just testing the waters and not convinced I'm going to sell, so I haven't cleaned up and taken any photos yet. Here are a couple pics and some key maintenance/upgrades going back 2 years. All work was done by myself with documentation (receipts/photos) except for the timing belt job and new clutch done by SC Imported Truck Service (best Toyota truck specialty shop around). Thanks for looking and thanks to all contributors on this forum for guidance through most of this maintenance and upgrades.

Pioneer head unit and Kicker 6.5" speaker upgrade. New driver side front power door lock actuator. Clutch spring bushings replaced. 173K

New tires Dueller AT Revo 265/70R16 at 179K (probably would have gone 275 if I had planned on doing the lift when I did).

New spark plugs, coil packs and wires. Transmission, Xfer case, front and rear dif oil changes at 180K.

Timing belt, h20 pump, thermostat, crank seal, cam seals and idler bearings, coolant flush @180K

Complete suspension upgrade/lift done at 182K
Rear - Bilstein 5100 and OME 906 coils gave 2" lift
Front - Bilstein 6112 coilovers at 7/8 setting gave 1.75" lift
New LBJs, OTRE, ITRE, poly swaybar, endlink and steering rack bushings

New Aisin (OEM) clutch, pilot/release bearings, flywheel resurface at 183K

New fuel filter, PCV, liftgate struts, LED dome lights. Wheel centercaps painted. Full exterior detail (clay, polish, sealant) 183K.

Custom Satoshi style grill mod and custom fabricated/factory rail mounted roof basket at 183K

Tundra Brake upgrade and brake system flushed at 186K (best thing you can do for a T4R in my opinion)

New throttle position sensor installed, IAC, MAF and throttle body cleaned. 190K

Complete undercarriage wirebrush, grinder and repaint (to deal with minor surface corrosion from living close to ocean). Fuel tank plate, skid plates and hitch receiver powder coated at 191K.

Power steering reservoir screen cleaned, new reservoir o-ring and steering system flushed (full method/no turkey baster). New battery. 191K

Negatives: Clear coat failure starting on plastic trim parts (front bumper valence, fender flares), two spots on roof forward of moon roof will need paint before too long and a couple cosmetic paint dings. Valve covers starting to weep a little but re-torquing the bolts has slowed this down. Probably replace VC gaskets, half moons etc and check valve lash at 200K. With all this done in the last 2 years, I had been planning on driving this vehicle forever and might still, but life may require alternative plans.

Where are you located? Looks like a pretty clean rig. I wouldn't post the mud shot in your sale ad though. The painted undercarriage may turn off some people, but there's definitely a market for the manual if you're patient enough.

Wow really clean. I bought a 2001 2wd with 231k in so cal for $6k last month. It had all new engine, Marlin locker and new icon suspension with wheels and tires. Given yours has more desirable features like 4wd and manual I'd price it in the $8k range give a take. Just my opinion

That's overpriced! OP's 00 manual sport is more rare.

For Loomis, it's not. That's actually a good deal for a very clean 4Runner. I live 15 minutes from there, it's off-road heaven in the foothills and people pay big bucks for off-roading vehicles. Not everyone can build their own.

The dark green colors peel, there's no way around it. The fact that the trim pieces are starting to is not a shocker at all. Anyone that you see that hasn't was either garaged it's whole life or it was repainted.

You rig is very, very clean underneath and has a lift - here in NorCal people will pay a pretty penny for a lifted vehicle. I would start at $8000. For reference, I paid $7000 for mine with 190k miles, poor maintainance (oil was as black and as thick as tar) but supercharged. Replace "supercharger" with "lift" and you can charge the same premium, plus yours has a better maintainance history.
