2000 SR5 Suspension help/advise

Hey everyone, so I have a problem. My 2000 SR5 4WD is killing me lately. I moved to the city for school about a year and a half ago. Anyone who has ever driven a 4Runner in a city with TERRIBLE roads knows its not a fun experience. The roads are full of pot holes and other obsticles that my 4Runner just can't take any longer. I get out of it after driving down some roads now feeling like I have been off road. The truck has 135,000 miles on it now with the original suspension in place. My question to all of you in the know of the 4Runner world is what kind of suspension should I replace it with? Keep in mind I don't do any kind of special driving, just need my old girl to get my from A to B in one piece. Also, I am a full time college student so money can be a little tight at times. Any help or advise would be great!

I would recommed you keep an eye on forums and ebay/craigslist for people pulling suspension from low mileage trucks and see if you can pick up a full system on the cheap. Remember that FJ Cruiser suspension will fit and there has been a big market for theat truck in terms of updated suspension so you should be able to pick stuff up will low miles pretty easy.

I suggest you post up on the FJ Cruiser forum, here and also Toyota120.com asking for any low mileage suspension.

If you had the cash an OME system is probably the most affordable replacement in the aftermarket world.

Cheers
Mark
